Simplicity 2830 #5: And there you have it

Well, that was easy enough… sort of. Although this was my very first project, I think it came together nicely. There were some problems I had with the pattern instructions – the lack of clarity made it hard sometimes to figure out how to do something. For example, I must have spent 24-hours thinking about how I was going to sew the zippered top section into my bag… I think I even lost sleep about it. I find that unlike my knitting, my sewing takes a different set of skills. I have to visualize, visualize, visualize everything when it comes to sewing. With my knitting, I just do a lot of counting, and then eventyally the piece looks like what it’s supposed to look like.

I tried to make all the seams look ok.
My seams need work... they aren't very straight.
Getting the top on was tricky, but I figured it out...
